A Library, A Dream, and a Mission

Long before subscriber counts, the launch of this website, and the thousands of videos I create today, I was just a young student sitting alone in a quiet corner of my college library, driven by a deep curiosity to understand how money works.

I had no mentor to guide me, no money to afford expensive training programs, and absolutely no formal background in financial markets. My classroom was the dusty library shelves, and my teachers were the classic books on business and investing. While classmates looked for short-term tips and quick wins, I sat searching for timeless financial principles.

Every book I borrowed, every page of notes I filled by hand, and every hour I spent reading late into the night became the foundation of what I later named Innocent Investor. I wanted to build a place of pure knowledge that empowers you with the same practical tools I had to search so hard to find.

For me, that library corner was more than a quiet desk. It was where my dream took root, and it remains the source of my lifelong mission: to simplify finance for you, keeping it honest, clear, and completely transparent.

Born of the Soil

My journey doesn't trace back to a fancy corporate office, a wealth management firm, or a traditional business family. It began in the soil of rural India, where life is lived with simplicity.

I was raised in a humble home, the son of a hardworking farmer and a dedicated homemaker. For decades, I watched my father wake up long before sunrise to work in our fields, pouring his sweat into nurturing crops to support our family. In farming, you learn lessons that no finance textbook or Ivy League school can teach: the importance of patience, the power of seasons, and the discipline of sowing seeds today to harvest years later.

My mother managed our household with incredible care and wisdom, teaching me by example how to value every single rupee and manage a budget with intelligence. Watching my parents work tirelessly taught me the values that guide my work today: absolute honesty, simplicity, and responsible financial habits.

As I grew, it pained me to realize that millions of hardworking Indian families sweat day and night to earn money, yet receive zero financial education on how to grow and protect it. I realized people struggle not due to a lack of capability, but because they were never given access to clear, honest financial concepts. That realization is the beating heart of my work here.

The Pain That Became a Purpose

During the early years of my own investing journey, it broke my heart to watch ordinary, honest people around me lose their hard-earned life savings. I saw families fall prey to fraudulent financial schemes, toxic stock tips, and deceptive promises of quick wealth.

These were my friends, my relatives, and our neighbors. They didn't lose their money out of greed—they lost it simply because they didn't have access to reliable, unbiased information. Seeing families go through the pain of losing their lifelong savings left a deep scar on me.

I knew I couldn't just stand by and watch. I decided to dedicate my energy to creating a sanctuary—a place where financial education remains completely honest, transparent, and accessible to every Indian, free of cost. That purpose is what drove me to build this community.
